About Japan Anti-Travel Guide

Good question. And I am glad you asked. 

The idea behind Japan Anti-Travel Guide is not anti-Japan by a long shot.

On the contratery, I live in and love Japan.

What I hope to share with you here centres on aspects of Japan that can easily pass you by unnoticed when you travel around the country. 

So, instead of providing insights on the best places to get ramen or which museums to visit, I aim to shed light on things like how the Japanese live and love, how the country works – and what is really going on all around you. 

In this way, the aim is to create a repository of insights that is opposite of what you would find in most travel guides – and hence the name.
